Know the features
Transfer all accounting data with just one click
Useful if you have applications spread among multiple ODOO instances or when you need to migrate to a brand new ODOO instance (without the need for messy CSV files)
Import from another ODOOv11 installation
Export to another ODOOv11 installation
Matching with data already imported or exported
Incremental migration when exporting, won't transfer the same data twice
Planned support for other applications too.
If the destination database already has data in it, make sure that it was populated in the same way as the default data that is on the source. For example, if both of them have the same Accounting Localization module installed by default, then it's ok, but if in one of them you created (e.g.) the Taxes by hand, they will end up creating conflicts if they have the same names but different External IDs.
Installed translations (Setting->Translations->Load a Translation) should also be the same at both sides (but the user doesn't need to use the same language).
When in doubt test first with a source database that has only a few data (or an empty destination database) and then go on to more complex migrations.
You need to make sure that the "account" and "analytic" modules are instaled both at source and destination.
