- Authy (Android)
- Google Authenticator (much less recommended)
Send OTP code via email
OTP codes can be send to your email in case you can`t access the Authenticator App
Remember trusted devices
Trusted devices can be stored for 7 days and will be cleared once the 2FA gets disabled
Easy Sign-In workflow
- 1 - User sign-in with password
- 2 - If user have 2FA enabled and configured then require a challenge. Option to save device is available
- 3 - Complete 2FA Setup if enabled but not code is available (when admin forces all users to use 2FA)
- 4 - Allow to send One Time Password (OTP) via email if unable to enter the correct challenge
Just install the python requirement pyotp and you are go to go
$ pip3 install pyotp
Configure from user preferences
easy configure in user settings
Enable and disable 2FA from your account preferences.
Easy setup check for the verification challenge before configure 2FA for your account.
Well defined workflow
from login to a more secure account in easy steps
Start with the classic Odoo backend login page and you get redirected to the 2FA code challenge if configured.
Whenever and invalid code is entered you are allowed to send a one-time code by email.
One-time verification code is only allowed for users with a valid email address and will expire in 1 hour after they are sent.
When the user have an incomplete 2FA setup this step allows to complete the process. At this point this is not possible but in future updates an admin will be allowed to force 2FA security in all the users of the system.
You need to install the python module pyotp in order for this module to work. Just type the console:
