Purchase orders that reorder themselves on schedule
Set a recurring purchase order once and trust it to fire on time — with draft-or-auto-confirm review control so automation never means losing oversight of spend.
Every cycle, buyers re-create the same purchase order from scratch — re-selecting the vendor, re-entering product lines and quantities, re-applying payment terms. It is repetitive, error-prone, and easy to forget: a missed reorder means a stockout or a lapsed service, while a duplicated one ties up cash. Native Odoo Purchase has no first-class, self-generating recurring order a buyer can set once and trust.
Define a recurring order once — vendor, lines, quantities, payment terms, and a day/week/month/quarter interval — then let a daily scheduler generate every purchase order on time. Choose per schedule whether new orders land as a draft RFQ for review or confirm automatically, pause or resume without losing history, and clone reusable templates into live schedules in one click.
Everything you need to automate recurring purchasing
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Flexible recurrence intervals
Day(s), Week(s), Month(s), or Quarter(s), each with a configurable "every N" multiplier — including genuine daily purchasing, not a rental-only workaround.
Automatic generation with catch-up
A daily scheduled action scans active schedules and generates every order that is due — catching up multiple missed cycles automatically if the system was offline.
Draft review or auto-confirm
Toggle oversight per schedule: generated orders can wait as a draft RFQ with a review activity for the responsible buyer, or confirm automatically the moment they are created.
Pause and resume, no deletion
One click halts a schedule and a second reactivates it — configuration and generation history stay intact the whole time.
Template library
Flag any schedule as a reusable template with pre-filled vendor and product lines, then clone it into a live, ready-to-activate schedule in one click.
Grouped dashboard
A kanban board grouped by status (Active, Paused, Draft, Expired, Done) plus a list view with recurrence, auto-confirm, and generated-order counts, filters, and group-by.
Full traceability
Every generated purchase order links back to the schedule that created it, and a smart button opens the complete history of orders a schedule has generated.
Payment terms and responsible buyer
Set payment terms once per schedule so every generated order carries them, and assign a responsible buyer who receives the review activity for draft orders.
Reminders and lifecycle tracking
Configurable reminder activities ahead of the next generation date, full lifecycle status (draft/active/paused/expired/done), and multi-company support.
How it works
Set up the schedule
Pick a vendor, product lines and quantities, payment terms, and a recurrence interval — or start from a saved template.
Choose your oversight
Decide whether generated orders wait as a draft RFQ for your review or confirm automatically every cycle.
Activate
One click puts the schedule live; "Generate Now" can also fire an out-of-cycle order whenever you need one.
Let it run
The daily scheduler generates each order on time, notifies the buyer, and advances to the next cycle — pausing or expiring exactly when you tell it to.

Frequently asked
Which recurrence intervals are supported?
Day(s), Week(s), Month(s), and Quarter(s), each with a configurable "every N" multiplier — so you can set truly daily purchasing, not just a rental-only daily option.
Can I review a generated order before it commits spend?
Yes. Every schedule has an auto-confirm toggle. Leave it off and generated orders land as a draft RFQ with a review activity assigned to the responsible buyer; turn it on and orders confirm automatically.
What happens if I pause a schedule for a while?
Pausing stops new generation immediately but keeps the schedule's configuration and order history intact. Resuming picks up where you left off — nothing needs to be recreated.
Does this work for services and software, not just physical stock?
Yes. Recurring schedules support every product type — stockable, consumable, and service — so subscriptions and outsourced services are automated the same way as physical restocking.
