Stepper Widget
Increment / decrement buttons for integer fields, right inside your Odoo forms and lists.
Example: increment/decrement fields on a sequence configuration form.
Why use this widget?
By default, Odoo integer fields are plain text inputs. Users editing quantities, counters or repeat values have to click into the field and type a number every time. Stepper Widget adds compact up / down buttons next to any integer field, so common adjustments (+1, -1, or any custom step) take a single click, while manual typing is still fully supported.
One-click adjustments
Up and down buttons increase or decrease the value by a configurable step.
Min / max / step
Set boundaries and increment size per field, directly from the view definition.
Boundary aware
Buttons automatically disable once the minimum or maximum value is reached.
Manual entry kept
The field remains a normal input, so typing a value directly still works.
How it works
Add the integer_stepper widget to any integer field
in a form or list view:
Available options
| Option | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
min |
Lowest allowed value | none |
max |
Highest allowed value | none |
step |
Amount added/removed per click | 1 |
All three options are optional; the widget also fully respects
the field's own readonly, required and
invisible attributes.
Compatibility
Odoo 18.0, Community and Enterprise editions. Pure front-end widget: no changes to the database, no extra Python models, no external dependencies.
