Website Captcha & Login Security provides comprehensive protection for Odoo websites against
spam submissions, automated bots, brute-force login attempts, and unauthorized access. The
module offers multiple captcha methods, including Google reCAPTCHA v2, dynamic Text Captcha,
and interactive Slider Puzzle Captcha, allowing businesses to select the most suitable
security method for each website form.
Captcha protection can be configured independently for Login, Signup, Contact Us, Password
Reset, and Job Application forms. All captcha validations are performed server-side to
ensure reliable protection even when client-side scripts are bypassed.
The module also includes a configurable Login Lockout mechanism that temporarily blocks
repeated failed login attempts, helping protect user accounts from brute-force attacks. With
multi-website support and centralized configuration through Website Settings, businesses can
maintain flexible and consistent security across multiple websites.

Configure Captcha Protection for Website Forms
Go to General Settings > Website Captcha Configuration to configure captcha protection for your website forms. Select the required captcha type-Google reCAPTCHA, Text Captcha, or Slider Puzzle Captcha-for each supported form, then click Save to apply the configuration.
Verify Captcha and Login Security
When logging in, the configured captcha will appear according to your selected settings. If an incorrect password is entered, the system displays a failed login attempt warning and records the unsuccessful attempt as part of the login security and lockout protection.
Contact Us Form Captcha
The configured Text Captcha is also displayed on the Contact Us form. Users must enter the correct captcha before submitting the form, helping prevent spam and automated submissions.
Google reCAPTCHA on Job Applications
Navigate to Website → Jobs and open a job application form. When filling out the application, you will see Google reCAPTCHA displayed before the Submit button. Applicants must complete the reCAPTCHA verification before submitting the application.
Captcha on Password Reset
The configured captcha is also displayed on the Reset Password page. Users must complete the selected captcha verification before submitting the password reset request, helping prevent automated and unauthorized requests.
Captcha on Signup
The configured captcha is also displayed on the Signup page. Users must complete the selected captcha verification before creating an account, helping protect the registration process from spam and automated bot submissions.
