The GDPR ? What is it ?
European regulation with new rights and new obligations
The European regulation on the protection of personal data will be applicable in May 2018 in all countries of the European Union. It is therefore necessary to clarify and render fully operational these new rules.
We set up a module on Odoo allowing to give support to companies on the new formalities to apply.
The main component of the RGPD law is to ensure good practices to address the risks that the processing of personal data may cause to the liberties and lives of those concerned.
PIA
The four principles
The PIA (Privacy Impact Assessment) consists of 4 main phases:
- The determination of the context
- The application of the fundamental principles
- The risks
- Validation of the PIA

Each phase is to be developed in a simple and objective way. They make it possible to question the methods applied within the company and to adopt new processes.
The steps to follow have been simplified to help you respond effectively to the needs of the PIA.

At the end of the PIA a report is automatically generated in PDF on all the applied procedures. This document can be presented during a check with other documents proving your steps.
