Enhanced Unit of Measurement - uomby odoocraft.com
Cross category UOM
use different ratios for same UOMs for different materials
You can mix units from different types in one category and let odoo do all required calculations. Below is an example of using different UOMs of metal plates in manufacturing:
- Purchase - Unit
- Manufacutre - BOM a cm2
- Or Manufacutre - BOM b mm2
- Stock calculation - kg
- You need to define ratio to convert from kg to Unit, from kg to cm2 , and from kg to mm3
- You can buy plates of different sizes and weight - and the purchase uom can be set to Unit - Odoo will automatically convert stock to kg - You can use that material on BOM with f.e cm2 or mm3, you can define individual ratio per UOM
BOM creation assistance
no more need to search for correct UOM
Have you ever encountered this warning "The Product Unit of Measure you chose has a different category than in the product form."? Now bom lines are filtered, showing only appropriate UOMs for given material.
Manage individual UOM categories
You can define different UOM category per product. This category is easy accessible on product form and list:
Professional looking superscript UOM
Just put m^2 in UOM name and Odoo will convert it to m2 on the fly

Video showing the invalids unit of measure for a specific product (demo server)
Customization still shows the invalids unit of measure for the products (demo server)
Hi there, I just look into the server and I found that even if we configure the units of measure valid for a specific product thei are still coming up when we are editing the invoice line (after set the product). I was just wondering if is possible to hide the units of measure not related to the product in the invoice line, order line, etc.
Re: Customization still shows the invalids unit of measure for the products (demo server)
Yes, I confirm there is problem when you edit old invoice line, the correct event isn't called and invalid units are not hidden. I've tried different solutions but haven't solved it yet. It works perfectly well, when you add a new invoice line. The quickest fix for now is to select the same product once again, then the list of uoms is shrinked. (f.e. by editing the last letter in product id, then choosing the product from the drop down list again) I am not sure how to fix it yet, but if there is a need, i will try again.

Unit of Measure on the Invoice
I am looking for an addon that allows me to choose the Unit of Measure in the invoice. Do you have a demo server?
