Overview
It is compatible with both community and enterprise version of odoo.
This App allows you to globally search any record to that you have the access of at latest read and whose model is confirured with at least one its field in the global search configurations.
Getting General Configuration
Please follow the following steps to open the global search configuration view.
-> First activate developer mode from settings menu
-> Go to Settings again
-> You will find Global Search sub menu under Techincal menu Category
Configuring a model and its fields
The global search is a case insensitive search. It will return matched records of different configured models by checking the access rights of the Current Logged In User agianst there different configured models.So if a sale person whome do not have any access of purchase order, then the global search will not match the his/her global search inputted value against the purchase orders and not return the purchase orders, but if the that global search inputted value will match with any model's record to that he/she has the access of at least read like sale orders, then the global search will return those records.
