Filter working? Scrollable area not sizing to window

Looks promising, but I've run into a few snags that prevent everyday use. I have installed the Community version. I have tried to set the filter to isolate a single project, company, etc. This does not appear to be functioning on Odoo V12. Also, it appears that the scrollable gantt area is only using about 60% of the usable window. In other words, there is considerable blank space at the bottom of the project window that is unused (blank).
