IP Network Printer Drivers for POS Bar/Restaurant

Allows you to connect and use your IP based ESC/POS printer in Restaurant or Bar business

With this App installed you will not require IotBox to print Kitchen/Bar Orders and customer Bills & Receipts

Simply install this App and connect your POS printer to same network as your Odoo POS

Configure the IP address and port of the printer in Point of sale configuration menu

Add as many IP printers as you want and print based on products categories

No IotBox Required To Print.

If you do not have a IotBox kit already and you want to start printing Kitchen/Bar orders, simply install this App. You will not require IotBox kit to print orders and receipts. The App will install drivers and utilities for printing bills, receipts and orders using IP based ESC/POS printer.

Seamless Usage & Configuration

All you need to configure is the IP addresses and ports of the printer in Odoo POS session configuration menu. Plug in your ESC/POS IP printers to the same network as POS. Note that if you already have a IotBox, no interference with the functionality of IotBox except that printing function will shift to IP printer. You can seamlessly switch back to IotBox printing when you uninstall this App

Wide Range of Print Character Sets

This App comes with drivers and utilities that support a wide range of print character sets including cp437, cp850, cp852, cp857, cp858, cp860, cp863, cp865, cp866, cp862, cp720, cp936, iso8859_2, iso8859_7, iso8859_9, cp1254, cp1255, cp1256, cp1257, cp1258, katakana. Please countercheck with your printer model specifications

Installation

This Module is a standard Odoo Module. Once you purchase it, please follow the following steps to install it:

  • A download link will appear on the module description page.
  • You need to extract the downloaded file into Odoo 'addons' directory where all other modules are kept.
  • You then need to click on Updates Apps list for the new module to appear on the list of Apps.
  • Search for the module in the Apps list using the name hw_restaurant_ip_printer.
  • Then you click on Install and wait for it to finish
  • Refer to Module Description for configuration

I am happy with this module and would like to thank the author for a great job done! For those that wonder about a cloud to local network, here is how I did it on my side: Hi there - I came right... For the future, here is how I did it: 1. Created a noip.com addresss to my LAN 2. Added the DyDNS settings to my router 3. Added a port forwarding to the printer's ip address on my router 4. Then I entered mydns.whatever.com:port and presto it worked! Hope it helps others...

does it work in the cloud (vps with docker)?

1) it works remotely, this would connect with a vps where is odoo with docker?
2) Some VPN must be used between the cloud server and the clients
3) Is there a separate module for this module to work with pos restaurant or no restaurant?
4) You need a previous one for this module to work

5) what functional differences does it have with the other module : https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/13.0/hw_escpos_network_printer/

I have some concerns before buying this module. Trying to reach them constantly from last 2 days. WhatsApp, Skype / communication channels they provided, they read messages but don't bother to respond.

I am thinking if i required support after buying then they will hung me out to dry.

Hola necesito el modulo para un restaurante que no tiene internet. Yo mismo lo puedo instalar? Puede funcionar con varias impresoras en red incluyendo la impresora conectada a través del puerto USB?

No necesita Internet para que funcione, pero necesita una conexión de red IP entre su impresora y su servidor Odoo. En otras palabras, la impresora debe ser accesible desde su servidor Odoo. Puede funcionar con múltiples impresoras de red para bares y restaurantes. Simplemente agregue las direcciones IP y los números de puerto para sus impresoras en la sección de impresoras de barras y restaurantes. No es compatible con la impresora USB. Usted elige entre impresión en red exclusiva o impresión USB exclusiva
