Custom Data Directory

Default Path: e.g. /var/lib/odoo (Add-Ons Folder)

To setup a custom directory, go to "Settings >> Technical >> System Parameters" and create a new entry.

- Key:

e.g. data.directory

- Value:

/var/lib/odoo

Using the Module

A new top menu item will appear in "Settings >> Migrate Attachments"

NB!!! Take note of the migration statuses

Migration Status = 0 (Conversion Failed)

Migration Status = 1 (Conversion Passed)

The button action "Migrate" in the tree view allow user's to convert a single file into database storage.

Multiple Files

The button action "Migrate Attachments" under actionallow user's to convert multiple files into database storage.

The files specified to be converted is based on the selection records on the tree view.

After conversion is completed, set your default storage to database.

Go to "Settings >> Technical >> System Parameters" and create a new entry, see below.

The last step is to cleanup attachments after data storage is set to database.

A Reference to file storage will be removed from attachments so that database storage can read attachments.
