Overview
Takeaway module enables the restaurant-POS operator to generate a home delivery or takeaway order without going through any table. The order receipt bears the delivery type which tells whether the order is takeaway, home delivery or to be served at a specific table.
Configuration:
Make ‘Home Delivery’ and ‘Takeaway’ buttons visible on the floor screen where tables are shown with the checkboxes displayed alongside the ‘Display Home Delivery Button’ and ‘Display the Parcel Button’.
Navigation: Point of Sale > Configuration > Point of Sale > Open desired point of sale.
The below screen is showing the floor having tables along with the two buttons (‘Home Delivery’ and ‘Takeaway’) at the right bottom corner. Click on the ‘Takeaway’ or ‘Home Delivery’ button to generate the takeaway or home delivery order respectively. On clicking on the button, it will steer to the user on the POS screen.
The Takeaway order’s receipt bears the ‘Delivery Type’ as ‘Take Away’
The Home Delivery order’s receipt shows the ‘Delivery Type’ as ‘Home Delivery’ with other delivery details such as delivery person, delivery date, and delivery address etc.
