Hide cost price for product and product variant odoo helps users to hide and view product and product variant cost price fields according given user access. only allowed users can see the product cost field as well as update product cost from the update price wizard.

You can not see cost field in wizard if user is not select 'hide and show product cost' group it is not visible in wizard which is open from update cost button in product form.
