Suppliot Opening Hours and Delivery Lead Times

Contact Opening Hours

Contacts (of type 'contact' or 'delivery address') have an additional 'Opening Time' tab to add opening hours. New contacts without any opening hours set are automatically created with opening hours for all days of the week. It is always possible to add or remove opening hour entries.

Field information

  • Day of week: A day from Monday to Friday
  • Open Time: Opening time for given day
  • Close Time: Closing time for given day
  • Break Start: At this time the break starts (for example lunch break)
  • Break End: At this time the break ends
  • Is closed: Partner is closed on this day

Delivery Days

Additionally, contacts can have delivery days. These days are independent from opening hours (a partner might not be open on monday but is still available for deliveries on monday).

Notes

You can add additionally notes for opening hours and for delivery.

Delivery Reports

Delivery slips are extended with your delivery notes. To add opening hours and delivery days to your deliver slips enable following setting: Settings > General Settings > Contacts > Show opening hours on delivery slip

Additionally partner fields

This module adds some fields to extend your contacts with further contact information. Some of this fields are not enabled by default and must be enabled in Odoo's contact settings: Settings > General Settings > Contacts

  • Invoice mail address:
    - Only for contact type 'Contact' or 'Invoice Address'
    - This module enforces invoice mail addresses for contacts if you want to send invoices per mail
  • Cost location:

    - Field is also available in sales order and invoice form and is automatically pre-filled if set for contact
  • Default warehouse:
    - Only for contact type 'Contact'
    - If you have multiple warehouses, set a default warehouse which is automatically set for sales/warehouse orders
  • Extra name fields:
    - Name 2 and Name 3 [Must be enabled in settings]
  • Extra phone fields
    - Phone 2 and Phone 3 [Must be enabled in settings]
  • Extra mobile fields:
    - Mobile 2 and Mobile 3 [Must be enabled in settings]

Delivery lead time calculation (for Shipping Methods)

Lead time calculation can be enabled for shipping methods. If enabled, an additionally 'Delivery day' tab is shown. If enabled and your customers have delivery days defined, the expected delivery day is displayed in your sales orders (see Sale Order > Other Info > Delivery).

Calculation is based on order date (equal to the date of the creation of your sales order) and the next possible delivery day of your customer (see examples below). The calculation of the expected delivery day can be configured to add additional lead time. Lead time (in days) can be configured separately for each weekday.

Field information

  • Lead Time: Expected delivery time for carrier (available for monday to sunday)
  • Cut off time: Time until order requests must be done to guaranty delivery lead time. Orders after cut off time are expected at least one day later.

Examples:

Lead time is configured for two days for monday to thursday. We expect longer delivery days over weekends and set lead times for friday to four days and saturday and sunday to three days.

Additionally, a cut off time for orders is set to 12:00, except for weekdays where the cut off time is set to 10:00.
