Features:

  • Centralize all documents in a single place the document module
  • Benefit from the document module features like indexing and search by content and OCR
  • Ability to store documents in a custom folder structure:
    • By Project- will automatically search for a workspace for the specific project
    • By Project/task- will organize the documents such that having a folder for each project and a subfolder for each task.
    • By Customer/Project- will create a folder for the customer related to the project having the attachment if the customer is set, and a subfolder for every project for that customer.
    • By Customer/Project/Task- same folder and subfolders hierarchal process

Process & configuration:

  • Go to Documents -> Settings -> Project section
  • A new field for the project documents workspace hierarchy is added.
  • Selecting Per Project: will automatically search for a workspace for the specific project, that the attachment is attached to it or any of its tasks, and attach the document to the workspace or create a new workspace if not found.
  • Selecting Per Project/Task will organize the documents in such a way having a folder for each project and a subfolder for each task.
  • Selecting Per Customer/Project this will create a folder for the customer related to the project having the attachment if the customer is set, and a subfolder for every project for that customer.
  • Selecting Per Customer/Project/Task same folder and subfolders hierarchal process.
  • Note that all above-mentioned workspaces (folder) will be created under the workspace selected in the settings (exp. in the above image we have it as Project folder) and if nothing is selected as folders structure documents will be attached to this Project folder directly.
