Odoo Microsoft Teams Integration

Odoo is an Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system which includes CRM, Inventory, Warehouse etc. Microsoft Teams is a proprietary business communication platform developed by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products. Teams primarily competes with the similar service Slack, offering workspace chat and videoconferencing, file storage, and application integration.

Installation

  • Download Odoo Microsoft Teams Integration module and place into addons directory
  • Restart Odoo server / service
  • Open setting, activate Developer Mode
  • Go to Apps
  • Update Apps List from top menu
  • Search the Teams and install it
  • Happy to use Microsoft Teams


How Its Work


  • Login to Microsoft Account
  • Go to Microsoft Azure Portal
  • Click on Azure Active Directory

  • Create New Application
  • Go to App Registration Menu option
  • Click on Register an Application button

  • Fill Application name
  • Select Supported account type
  • Click on Register button

  • Select Application(Client) ID
  • Click on Add Redirect URIs option

  • Create Redirect URI, which will redirect back after authorization
  • Fill in the Redirect URI like [ODOO-URL]/teams_success
  • Click on Configure button

  • Go to Certificate & Secrets
  • Click new Client Secret option
  • Fill in the Client Secret description in pop-up
  • Select expiry limit for Client Secret
  • Click to Add button


  • Install Microsoft Teams Module
  • From left menu open Microsoft teams Module
  • Fill in the Azure app credentials
  • Click on Connect button
  • It will open an authorization page
  • After authentication, it will redirect to Redirect-URI(ODOO page).

  • Select Teams Meeting opertions i.e Import or Export
  • Specify the filteration paramter like Create, Modify, Start or End Meeting datetime
  • Adjust datetime filter that is included always
  • Data sync according to applied filters

  • Go to Calendar
  • Select the Meeting view option

  • In meeting details, there is section named as MS Teams
  • All information about meeting like Organizer or Join URL reflected from MS Teams
  • Note: Microsoft Teams link generated When using paid service account while exporting meeting from Odoo to MS Teams

  • Note: Skype link generated When using free service account while exporting meeting from Odoo to MS Teams

Hi I would like a demo for this software to see the functionalities. Is it integrated with the Approvals app in teams to enhance purchase requisition approvals ?

it's not having the approval feature for Purchase requisition approvals, further you can go through the demo video that cover up the features

Hi,

I see, actually what we are looking for is a chat notification direct to MS Teams.

For example, aside from sending an email notification, we need to send a notification thru MS-Teams as well, which we think this more convenient for our end-user.

Do you have any Odoo Modules or solutions same to our requirements?

Basically this connector works for the creation of meeting events with a joinable meeting link, the rest of the things are depending upon the Microsoft
