can i use this for steel metal 

i buy raw material in kgs and its inventory is maintained as units 

for manufacturing i would like to use sqft or units like if a sheet is 8x4ft=32sqft half a sheet would be 16sqft or in units it would be 0.5 unit 

is it possible and can i get a demo before purchase
