Selection Value Renamer

Selection Value Renamer
Rename Any Selection Value
Rename the values of any selection field, for example Quotation becomes Penawaran. The stored technical value never changes, so nothing breaks.
Status Bars and Dropdowns
The new label appears in status bars, dropdown widgets, list views and Group By headers, everywhere the value is displayed.
Global, Model or Field
Apply a rename everywhere, only on one model, or only on one single field. The most specific rule always wins.
Multilingual Support
Rename a value in one language without affecting the translations in other languages. Leave the language empty to apply the rule everywhere.
No Translation Hacks
No need to edit translations or override selection fields in code. Everything is done from a simple configuration list.
Safe by Design
Rules are applied on the fly when fields are loaded. Original fields and translations are never modified, so uninstalling restores everything.
1. Configure the Selection Rename Rule
Create a rule from Settings, Selection Renamer. The highlighted row shows the original selection value RFQ, the replacement label RFQ TEST RENAMER, the target model Purchase Order, the target field Status, and the language English (US).
2. See the Renamed Status on the Document
After refreshing the browser, the highlighted Purchase Order status bar displays RFQ TEST RENAMER instead of RFQ. The technical value remains the same, so approvals, filters, reports and automation rules continue to work normally.
1. Install the module and assign the Selection Renamer Manager group to your user if needed.
2. Go to Settings, Selection Renamer.
3. Create a rule: set Original Name to the existing selection label, for example RFQ.
4. Set New Name to the label users should see, for example RFQ TEST RENAMER.
5. Optionally pick a model, a field and a language to limit where the rename is applied.
6. Refresh the browser. The new value labels are applied on status bars and dropdowns.
7. Archive or delete a rule to restore the original labels.
