This is a secure and manageable module to organize frequent meetings with your customers or colleagues. It provides security and user authentication to join any meeting from odoo or self hosted server.
It also helps enterprise leaders to schedule private or public meetings to quickly connect with their colleagues and address their concerns.
Prerequisite
- Nginx server
- Self-hosted jitsi server with a trusted certificate
- Odoo version 14.0
Configuration for video conferencing jitsi server
- Login in Odoo as Administrator.
- Activate developer mode by going in Settings -> Activate the developer mode under Developer Tools.
- Go to Technical -> System Parameters under Parameters -> search for st_video_conferencing.st_jitsi_meet_url
- Open the searched parameter and click on the Edit button to update its value as per new domain eg: https:// domain
- Update the Value field with a new domain.
- Now click on the Save button to save the configuration.
Functionalities
Create / Schedule a meeting
To create or schedule any meeting follow the below steps:
- Go to the Video Conferences menu.
- Click on the Create button to create a new meeting and then click on the Save button to save the details.
Join a meeting
Users can join the meeting either from his/her email for the meeting or from the video conferences dashboard in Odoo.
- Join from email: only selected users of odoo can join the meeting.
- Join from video conferences dashboard in Odoo
OR
Also users can create or join the particular daily meeting. For daily meetings user will get notification on daily basis.
- Daily Scheduled Meetings User can create daily meetings by checking Is Daily Meet? checkbox while creating meeting.

Meeting Types
Meetings will be of two types:
- Private: only selected users of odoo can join the meeting.
- Public:any user of odoo can join the meeting.
- Public:any user of odoo can join the meeting.
Close or Reopen the meeting
Users can close or reopen any meeting by clicking on the Close Meeting or Reopen Meeting button as below:
- Close meeting by clicking on the Close Meeting
- Closed meetings list [shown in grey shade]
- Reopen meetings by clicking on the Reopen Meeting inside closed meetings as shown below.
