Floating WhatsApp Icon - Odoo Website

WhatsApp is the most widely used direct messaging app ever, and more and more companies, both offline and online, are realizing the need to integrate this channel into their business.

Being available and reachable on WhatsApp means providing consumers with immediate communication, which has a huge effect on the customer experience. Furthermore, providing an immediate communication channel avoids that the customer looks for the same product or service from a competitor.

Website site visitors will be able to open a new chat on the app directly on your WhatsApp Business page or, if you don't have one, on your phone number WhatsApp page.

Hi, thanks for develop and share this awesome addons, really appreciate it.

After i try in fresh install V14 CE and just install website module, i recognize whatsapp link need update using new rule from official whatsapp page https://faq.whatsapp.com/general/chats/how-to-use-click-to-chat/?lang=en 

then i recomended to little modification with this code for update link:

    """ Returns WhatsApp Redirect URL. """
    wa_url = "https://wa.me/" + str(self.whatsapp_number)
    return wa_url

As you mentioned, updated the code.


But, the new URL is redirecting to the old URL only. :)

Hi, are you going to update this app for V15? I use it in V14 and works excellent but I updated my DB to BD, but you don't have it for this version. Please let me know if updating is coming+
