Advance Custom Filter
The Advance Custom Filter module categorizes your records according to the
conditions you
have created by domain. You can create custom filters and set
appropriate values for them. The filter can
sort out the records that meet the
domain used for filtering the records from all the data.
Settings configuration
Select the given option from the drop-down menu to give access to advance custom filter.
To activate Advance Custom Filter, go to Settings > User & Companies > User.
If you give access to the Users, then the users can only create filters and group by themselves.
If you give access to the manager, then the manager can create filters and group
by for all the users.
Custom filter configuration
Fill out the form with the required information, as shown in the above screenshot.
This advanced custom filter allows for filtering data for various
models. You can select
the model from the drop-down in the
model field.
You can select multiple users in the users's field.
Select the filter or group by in the selection field.
Using a domain filter, you can sort records by selecting a field and
its value. You can apply
any domain to get your desired records.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the customized filter
appears in the filters menu
and is set
as the default, as we have enabled the default filter.
Custom filter by environment company
You can filter records from the environmental company using this filter.
You can see the customize filter by company set in the filter menu.
Create a domain, as shown above, to filter your records by date and time.
You can see that the records are filtered by the by 'Date and Time' filter.
Custom filter by many2many field
To filter the records from the Many2Many field, apply the domain as shown above.
As you can see in the above screenshot, there are no records available filtered by bills.
Select group by to sort the records by the specific model.
Group By configuration
Select the field from the drop-down in which you want the records.
You can see the sales is set in the group by the menu as we select the group in the selection field.
After creating the custom filters, you can modify them by selecting
a specific user
from the search panel.
