The POS Order Note module enhances the Odoo Point of Sale system by allowing cashiers and POS users to add notes at both the order level and individual order line level directly from the POS interface. These notes help businesses capture customer instructions, special requests, preparation details, delivery information, and other important order-related comments without interrupting the sales workflow. This module provides dedicated Order Note and Orderline Note buttons within the POS Action Menu, making it easy to record additional information during order processing. Saved notes are displayed on POS receipts, printable PDF receipts, and backend POS Order records, ensuring that all relevant order instructions remain accessible throughout the sales process. 📝 Workflow
- Navigate to Settings → Point of Sale → POS Order Note, then enable the following options: Enable Order Note Button, Show Order Notes on POS Receipts, Enable Orderline Note Button, and Show Orderline Notes on POS Receipts.
- Add products to the POS cart, then click the More Options (⋮) button to open the Action Menu.
- Click the Order Note button to add a note for the current order.
- Enter the order note in the text area, then click Apply to save the note.
- The order note is saved successfully. A confirmation notification is displayed, and the saved order note appears here.
- Select a product from the cart, then click the More Options (⋮) button to open the Action Menu.
- Click the Orderline Note button to add a note for the selected order line.
- Enter the orderline note in the text area, then click Apply to save the note for the selected item.
- A confirmation notification is displayed, and the saved orderline note appears below the selected product in the cart.
