Sales & Invoice Payment Installments


Overview

The Sale & Invoice Installment Payment Odoo app allows businesses to manage customer payments in flexible installments. Users can set the tenure in months, define installment amounts, apply multiple down payments, and generate detailed installment reports for sales orders and invoices. This module simplifies payment tracking, improves cash flow management, and provides transparent reporting for customers and accounting teams.

Enable Installments

  • Enable "installment on Sale" feature from the user group.
  • Settings => Users => installment on Sale
  • Create Sale order and select product in order line.

Installment In Sale

  • User can fill "Tenure(month)" and "Installment Payment Date" manully.
  • Installment amount automatically calculate based on Tenure(month).
  • Here we can calculate "Installment Amount" and also make down payment.

Create Installment Lines

  • When you will confim sale order installments line will create based on tenure(month).

Installment In Invoice

  • When you create invoice from sale order it will automatically get installments line from sale order.
  • When you will confirm invoice you will see "Partial Payment" and "Pay" button.

Partial Payment

  • User can make partial payment by click on "Partial Payment" button.

Compute Installment

  • After making partial payment you can calculate rest of installment payment.
  • You can recalculate installment by click on "Compute Installment" button.

Pay Installment

  • User can make installment payment by click on "Pay" button.

Installment Remainder

  • Customer will get email automatically day before installment date.

Installment Reports

  • User can print sale installment report within the sale app.
  • User can print sale installment report within the invoice app.

Hi,

I see that this App supports the ability to run the dunning process for outstanding payment plans that are scheduled for the future? is that correct?

And when looking at cash flow, can you also include the future expected payments in your cashflow?

Can you confirm that the questions / whishes below (from our customer) wil be met with this add-on?.

Payment plans on existing invoices

• Ability to create a payment plan on an invoice that is already overdue.

• No need to modify the invoice or create a credit note.

• Configuration: number of installments (e.g., 10), automatic calculation of amounts & due dates.

• Automatic reminders sent per installment.

• Automatic payment link generated per installment.

• Payments are automatically reconciled with the original invoice.

Automatic reminder flow

• Standard reminders for the original invoice must stop as soon as a payment plan is activated.

• A new reminder flow should be used based on the installments of the payment plan.

Integrated Aging Reports (A/R)

• The payment plan must be visible in a separate aging summary.

• You must be able to see which installments are overdue.

• The invoice should appear either in the standard Aging Report or in a separate Installment Aging Report — depending on the chosen display option.

• Cash flow forecasting should be possible based on installment amounts and installment dates.

Nice-to-have

• If due dates of the payment plan are adjusted → other reports (or invoices) can automatically be “shifted” accordingly.

• Clear overview of all active payment plans per customer.
