Approval on Payslip
Approval configuration as per Salary Structure
Notification for approver for new Payslip(s) to approve
Notification for payslip user after Approve / Reject by approver
Set the level for Approval of Employee on Salary structure.
Go to Payroll --> Configuration --> Salary structure
Need Approval on Salary structure
First, you need to set Need Approval on Salary structure.
Set Manager On Employee.
Create the Payslip from payroll.
Set Salary Structure And Send it For Approval
Payslip Approval Mail Notification
Once payslip will submit for approval, Manager of that employee will be notified.
Status will change Draft To Waiting For Approval After Submit Payslip.
Manager Can Approve Payslip.
Status will change Waiting For Approval To Done After Approve Payslip.
Payslip Approval Conformation Mail Notification
User who generates the payslip will be notified once after Manager will approve the payslip.
Manager Can Reject Payslip.
Status will change Waiting For Approval To Reject After Reject Payslip.
Payslip Rejection Mail Notification
User who generates the payslip will be notified once after Manager will reject the payslip.
If you will try to confirm the payslip which is not approved, you will get warning like below
Set the level for Approval of Employee on Salary structure.

Yes, the app works perfectly well with Odoo Enterprise (On-premise and Odoo.SH) as well as Community. Odoo Online (Cloud) does not allow installation of third-party apps and hence this app cannot be installed on Odoo Online.
