OpenHRMS Employee Gratuity Settlement
Create Gratuity Settlements for Employees During Resignation
Overview
Employee Gratuity Settlement is a component of Open HRMS suit. This module manages employee settlements. A Gratuity Settlement can be created only if the employee have any running contract .
Key Features
Manager can create Gratuity Settlements of Employees.
A settlement can be created only if the employee have any running
Manager can create different Gratuity Configuration.
The Gratuity Amount is calculated based on a predefined equation.
If the wage type is hourly then gratuity payment is calculated as employee basic salary * Employee Daily Wage Days * gratuity configration rule percentage * gratuity calculation years.
If the wage type is monthly then gratuity payment is calculated as employee basic salary * (Working Days/Employee Daily Wage Days) * gratuity configration rule percentage * gratuity calculation years.

You can create Gratuity Settlement from payroll configuration.Payroll->Configuration->Gratuity Configuration

Gratuity configuration
Set up the gratuity configuration and set the contract type if contract type is limited then during gratuity settlement if you have specified the end date for contract, gratuity configuration of limited type will be taken.

Gratuity configuration
Set up the gratuity configuration and select contract type,if contract type is Unlimited then during gratuity settlement if you have not specified the end date for contract, gratuity configuration of Unlimited type will be taken.

Employee Contract
Now create contract for the employee and set up the wage type.

Gratuity Settlement
You can create gratuity settlement from 'End of service' menu.Payroll->End of service

Gratuity Amount Calculation
By selecting the employee, if the employee have running contract,contract type of employee gets selected,And gratuity amount gets calculated. Gratuity payment is calculated based on wage type in the contract form. If wage type is hourly then gratuity payment is calculated as employee salary * Total number of days employee worked * gratuity configration rule percentage * employee gratuity years. If wage type is monthly then gratuity payment is calculated as (employee salary/Total number of employee wage days) * Total number of days employee worked * gratuity configration rule percentage * employee gratuity years.
