Documentation for the Inno_Automatic_Product_Reference Module
Introduction
The Inno_Automatic_Product_Reference module is designed to automate the management of product references by
integrating a hierarchy of families, large families and subfamilies. This guide explains how to use the module in
Odoo.
After installing the Inno_Automatic_Product_Reference module on your Odoo 15 instance, you need to access the
stock or inventory module to see the features offered by this module.
Management of Product Families, Large Families and Sub-Families
The Inno_Automatic_Product_Reference module supports a complex hierarchy of classifications, including large
families (main categories), families (categories) and subfamilies (subcategories) of products. This allows for a
very detailed and well-organized data structure.
To configure the different product families,to start you must first start with the stock module, go to
Configuration, then click Product Categories. You will then be able to define and organize large families,
families and subfamilies according to the way you want to structure them.
Subsequently, click Create to add a new product category. Assign it its rank in the family hierarchy (large family, family, or subfamily), then enter a reference code which is the corresponding nomenclature for this category. Finally, save.
After creating the categories, return to article and click Create to add a new article. Assign this product to a large family rank category. You will notice that the internal reference of the article takes into account the internal reference codes of the categories. The reference will then be automatically generated according to the order of the articles.
To manage product variants, start by enabling this feature in the Settings module under the Stock section. Enable the Variants option to enable management of product variants. Next, create a new product category by going to Product Categories and clicking Create.
Once the category is created, go to article to add a new article. When creating the item, add the necessary attributes and variations, then associate it with the product category you defined. Don't forget to save the changes by clicking Save so that the changes take effect.
Next, click on Items and then on Item Variants. You will then see all the variations of this article as well as the different references automatically generated.
