Datatrans Payment Acquirer

Use datatrans payment method

Key features:
  • Allows using online payment via datatrans
  • Allow subscriptions usage (recurring payments)
  • Use popular payment methods (Visa, Google Pay, Paypal, Apple Pay,China Union Pay, Cryptocurrencies and more.)

Datatrans configuration

  • Create and verify test account in https://testaccount.datatrans.com/testaccounts;
  • Login using test account credentials to https://admin.sandbox.datatrans.com/;
  • Click "Change merchant" In dashboard;

  • Select any merchant that ends with "(web)";

  • Go to "UPP Administration" → "Security" section;
  • Use "Username" and "Password" values for configuration in Odoo.

Odoo configuration

  • Go to [[ Main menu ]] → Accounting/Invoicing → Configuration → Payment Acquirers;
  • Click on "Datatrans".
  • Click "Edit";
  • Paste "Username" and "Password" from previous section.
  • Switch to "Enabled" or "Test mode";
  • Set "Payment Journal" to any value in "Configuration" section;

  • Click "Save";
  • Make sure that "Payment Journal" field is not emply. If it does, then:
  • Go to [[ Main menu ]] → Accounting/Invoicing → Configuration → Journals
  • Choose any journal, that you want to assign to payment method
  • In "Incoming Payments" section add "Datatrans" payment method

Testing credentials

Use this page to find testing credentials for specific payment methods (https://docs.datatrans.ch/docs/testing-credentials). The testing credentials are only supported in sandbox environment. For tests in production, you will require to proceed with real payments if you wish to test it.

Datatrans configuration

  • Create and verify test account in https://testaccount.datatrans.com/testaccounts
  • Using credentials from email login to https://admin.sandbox.datatrans.com/
  • In dashboard click on "Change merchant"
  • In given form select any merchant, that ends with "(web)"
  • Go to "UPP Administration" -> "Security" section
  • Remember values of "Username" and "Password" for configuration in Odoo

Odoo configuration

  • [[ Main menu ]] -> Accounting/Invoicing -> Configuration -> Journals
  • Click on "Bank" journal
  • Click "Edit"
  • In "Incoming Payments" add "Datatrans" in payment method column
  • Click "Save"
  • Click "SETUP"
  • In payment acquirer form click "Edit"
  • Paste "Username" and "Password" from previous section
  • Switch to "Enabled" or "Test mode"
  • In "Configuration" section set "Payment Journal" to any value
  • Click "Save"
  • Make sure, "Payment Journal" is still has value. If it does not:
    • [[ Main menu ]] -> Accounting/Invoicing -> Configuration -> Journals
    • Choose any journal, that you want to assign to payment method
    • In "Incoming Payments" section add "Datatrans" payment method

Saved payment information

If customer chooses to store payment information, those are stored in

[[ Main menu ]] -> Accounting/Invoicing -> Configuration -> Payment Tokens
