Detailed Inventory Valuation Report
This module allows us to get the detailed inventory valuation report. This includes the inventory valuation from Purchase, Sales and Manufacturing Modules. All the movements in the stock including inventory adjustments inventory transfers, unbuild orders valuations will be available in this report. All these can be based on company, warehouses, locations, product and product category

Overview
Companies use inventory valuation, a type of accounting, to determine the value of unsold inventory items when generating their financial statements. By default, Odoo have an Inventory valuation report but the data is limited. So, we have created a new detailed inventory valuation report which will be displaying the opening stock,the issued quantity,recieved quantity,closing stocks and their corresponding values.

Configuration

Letâs consider an example with a new product named Ace A1 Plus Smartphone with no stock moves. Make sure the product is a storable product

Go to the Inventory Module - Reporting and Choose the menu âInventory Valuation reportâ

Then a Wizard will be appeared in the screen where you can choose the options based on the requirements. From the wizard you can choose the warehouse, company,location, filter by product or product category, Start period, end period, Summary, and can filter by specific products name if needed

In the below image we have choosen the warehouse, company, location, start period, end period and our product name

We can download the inventory valuation report as Excel.The image of the excel file downloaded is shown below. As there are no stock moves no other values are shown

Now we have purchased 1500 units of the product

So in the inventory valuation report the receiving quantity and its corresponidng value and closing stock and its closing values are updated

Now We have sold 500 units of our product

So in the inventory valuation report the issued quantity and its corresponidng value and closing stock and its closing values are updated

Now I have transferred 100 units from WH to WH2(Internal Transfer)

Now the image shown below is the inventory valuation report from the WH. In which the product moved and its corresponding value is shown as negative and its corresponding changes are made in the closing stock and its value

Now for the same product we have updated the BOM with new components and purchased the components

Now manufactured 100 units of Ace A1 Smartphone and hence consumed the BOM components

Now in the inventory valuation report, you could see the MO quantity, its components its corresponding values. Also the closing stock is changed respectievely

Now we have unbuild 50 quantities of ACE A1 Plus smartphone

Now in the report you could see the unbuild MO and Unbuild components and their corresponding values

Now we have made an inventory adjustment i.e., updated 1000 Ace A1 Plus Smartphone to the WH

Now in the report inventory adjustment of the difference i.e., 50 units have been updated and you can see that in the closing stock the value is 1000 units

Now when the date is changed to the next date the opening stock is updated as the closing stock of the previous day
