Management Cost
This module allows to manage Job Costing in companies
Job Costing is the process of determining the labor and materials cost for each job in a systematic way, and then using this information to create a quote for the customer. Job costing or cost accounting can be used in virtually any industry (especially service industry) to ensure that the product pricing covers actual costs, overhead and provides a profit. WikipediaPreconditions:
1. Download & install this module
2. This module depends on the modules Inventory & Purchase.
3. Set Costing Method to Average Cost (AVCO) on `All / Saleable` category.
4. Note that this module prioritizes the AVCO of the product, but it uses the value Cost of the product if it doesn't find other values.
How to use it:
1. In the Setting Menu, configure the Production Order Types (not required) as well as your Cost Centers(required in the Production Order).
2. Create the Finished Good, specifying the required Materials, Labor and Other expenses involved in the production.
3. Start the process of the Finished Good, the Production Order model only shows Goods with state `In Process`.
4. Create the Production Order, the defined values of Materials, Labor and Expenses of the Finished Good load according the selected good, the column `Product Cost` shows the current Cost of the Product.
5. From the tab `Materials` you can not create new records, new products just can be added from the Finished Good, however you can delete products in the order or modify the quantity.
6. The other tabs, `Assignments` and `Expenses`, allow to add new lines as well as modify the values according to the Production Order.
7. After the Finished Good is `Marked as Completed`, you can print a Summary with the produced quantity and the Cost of that production:
Reports:
* Production cost by period: Shows a summary of the approved Production Orders in a period, divided by the Cost type (Direct or Indirect).
Optionally, allows to Print charts in the report.
* Detailed Materials: Prints all the Material used in approved Production Orders in a period, grouped by Finished Good.
* Detailed Assignment: Prints all the Labor used in approved Production Orders in a period, grouped by Finished Good.
* Detailed Expense: Prints all the Expenses in approved Production Orders in a period, grouped by Finished Good.
