Slack SSO Integration In ODOO
Overview
This module will act as an SSO In odoo providing a convenient way for logging in easily without having to manually sign-up odoo and remembering its username and password.
Note : Your Odoo URL must start with Https and must have a valid domain name.
On your odoo server you must install pyjwt python library. This module has requirements.txt, So odoo.sh users need not do any install manually, This will be automatically installed by Odoo.sh

1.Log into Slack

We will be creating a new App, Click on Create New App
Select ‘From Scratch’
Next, Once the app is created in Slack it will generate for us credentials automatically, For configuring Slack SSO with odoo, it's necessary to copy and paste Client ID and Client Secret from Slack to odoo (we will do in next step)
Next, Go to the Oauth & Permissions Section.
We will need to add a redirect url.
Redirect url pattern is as below.
https:your-odoo-url.com/slack/callback
So you just need to add ‘slack/callback’ to your odoo url.
Once done, Click on Save URLs button.
Now we check what configuration we need to do on Odoo Side.
- Install the module by searching in the search bar, slack_sso
- Once Installed we have a configuration section in General Settings. We will need to copy and paste the credentials generated by Slack for us when we created an App on the Slack website.
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Redirect URL : https:your-odoo-url.com/slack/callback
Once done, please click on the save button on the top left. Now we are ready to use Slack Single Sign On with Odoo ERP.
On the login screen of odoo, we have a SignIn with Slack Button.
Once the login is successful,a new user gets added into Odoo, if exists with the same email ID then gets used.
The module has been extensively tested on Odoo Vanilla.
