How to Use Filter/Group By Renamer
Follow these simple steps to get started and make the most of our app's powerful features!
Step 1: Install the App
Start by adding the path of the directory where the app is installed to the `.conf` file. Once that's done, update the app list. You should be able to see the app or search for it. Then, proceed to install the app.
Step 2: Grant User Permissions
Once the app is installed, you need to assign specific user permissions to allow access to the app. Ensure the right users are granted access to use the renaming functionality.
Step 3: Refresh the Interface
After assigning the necessary permissions, refresh the Odoo interface. This will ensure the app is available for use. You can now search for the app.
Step 4: Configure Renaming Options
To configure the renaming rules, you need to select which "Filter" or "Group By" field you wish to modify. In the "Original Name" column, enter the name that you want to modify, and in the "Custom Name" column, provide the new name you want to use for that filter/group. Then, choose the corresponding type.
Step 5: Apply Changes
If you'd like to apply the renaming changes across all models, check the "Apply to All Models" option. Otherwise, select a specific model where you want the changes to be applied. This flexibility allows you to tailor the renaming to different use cases.
Step 6: Finalize
Once you've configured the renaming rules and applied them, go to the corresponding model and refresh the screen. The renamed filters or groups should now appear as per your settings.
Step 7: Verify Changes
After refreshing, check the filters or groups you modified. If needed, go back and make further adjustments to the custom names or settings to ensure everything is as desired.
