Configuration
Retrieving the Secret Key from eWay
Log in to your eWay portal, navigate to the API Key menu, and then go to My Account >> API Key. Here, you will find the API Key, Password, and Public Key. These keys are essential for connecting eWay with Odoo.
To generate a new password for the API, click the Generate Password button.
Setting Up the eWay Payment Acquirer in Odoo
In Odoo, go to the Accounting menu, then navigate to Configuration >> Payment Acquirers >> eWay Payment Gateway. Paste the copied API Key, Password, and Public Key into the designated fields. Make sure to select the correct payment journal and publish the acquirer, so it becomes available on your website.
You can choose the payment method by selecting an option from the Way To Pay dropdown. There are two options:
- Redirect to eWay Page : This option redirects customers to the eWay portal for payment. On the eWay portal, customers will complete the payment process.
- Payment from Odoo : This option allows customers to enter their card details directly within Odoo. The following fields will be available on the Odoo payment page: Card Number, Cardholder Name, Expiration Date, and CVV. Customers can complete the payment directly in Odoo.

Website Order Payment via eWay
Redirect to eWay Page Flow
Customers can place orders directly on the Odoo website. On the payment page, they will see an option to pay through eWay. After clicking the pay button, they will be redirected to the eWay portal, where they can enter their credit card details and click PAY button. Once the payment is completed, a popup window will display the total amount, transaction status, payment provider, and an encrypted card number for confirmation. Customers then need to click the Finalise Transaction button to be redirected back to Odoo.
Payment Directly in Odoo
Customers can place orders directly on the Odoo website. On the payment page, they will see an option to pay through eWay. If the customer selects this option, the following fields will appear on the Odoo payment page: Card Number, Cardholder Name, Expiration Date, and CVV. Customers can fill in these details and complete the payment directly within Odoo.

Under the Invoicing >> Configuration >> Payment >> Payment Transaction, you can view the payment transaction details.
