NOMOD PAYMENT GATEWAY

Accept online payments seamlessly via Nomod — send payment links directly from invoices, redirect customers to a secure hosted checkout, and auto-reconcile payments in Odoo.

How It Works

STEP 1
Open Invoice

Navigate to any posted customer invoice in Odoo Accounting.

STEP 2
Send Payment Link

Click "Send Payment Link" to generate a 3-day valid link and email it to the customer.

STEP 3
Payment & Reconcile

Customer pays on Nomod's hosted page. Odoo auto-creates the payment and reconciles the invoice.

Overview

The Nomod Payment Gateway module integrates Nomod's hosted checkout directly into Odoo's standard payment acquirer framework. It allows businesses to generate secure payment links from customer invoices and send them via email. When the customer clicks the link, they are redirected to Nomod's hosted payment page where they can pay using credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby, or Tamara. Once the payment is completed, Odoo automatically creates the corresponding account.payment record and reconciles it against the invoice — with no manual steps required. Failed and cancelled transactions are tracked and the invoice remains open for a new payment attempt. Payment links automatically expire after 3 days and a background cron job keeps their status up to date.

Features

Payment Link Generation from Invoice: Generate a unique, tokenized payment link directly from any posted customer invoice. The link is valid for 3 days and can be resent or cancelled at any time from the invoice view.
Email Delivery to Customer: A professionally formatted email containing the payment link, invoice reference, amount due, and expiry date is sent directly to the customer — no manual copying required.
Nomod Hosted Checkout: Customers are redirected to Nomod's fully hosted and PCI-compliant payment page. Supports credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby, and Tamara — no card data ever touches your server.
Automatic Payment & Reconciliation: On successful payment, Odoo automatically creates an account.payment record and reconciles it with the invoice — eliminating manual data entry and reducing errors.
3-Day Link Expiry with Auto-Cron: Each payment link is valid for 3 days (configurable). An hourly background job automatically marks expired links, preventing stale payment attempts on already-managed invoices.
Failed & Cancelled Transaction Handling: Failed or cancelled payments update both the payment transaction and payment link status automatically. The invoice remains open and a new payment link can be issued immediately.
Success, Failure & Cancellation Pages: Customers are shown a dedicated branded result page after payment — a clear success confirmation with invoice details, or a descriptive failure/cancellation page with next steps.
Webhook Support: Nomod server-to-server webhook notifications are handled at /payment/nomod/webhook, ensuring payment status is updated even if the customer closes the browser before the redirect completes.

Acquirer Configuration

Simple setup — enter your Nomod API Key and Checkout API Key in the Payment Acquirer settings.

Configuration

  1. Install the Nomod Payment Gateway module from the Apps menu.
  2. Go to Accounting → Configuration → Payment Acquirers and find Nomod.
  3. Enter your Nomod API Key (from Nomod App → Settings → Integrations).
  4. Enter your Nomod Checkout API Key (from the same Integrations screen).
  5. Set the state to Enabled (or Test for sandbox testing).
  6. Optionally configure Payment Link Validity (Days) — default is 3 days.
  7. Set your webhook URL in the Nomod dashboard: https://yourdomain.com/payment/nomod/webhook
  8. Open any posted customer invoice and click Send Payment Link.
