MPESA EXPRESS Odoo POS Module

Initiate Lipa na Mpesa Online Payments in odoo POS screen.

Configuration

Module Setup

  1. Create Mpesa Portal Credentials
  2. Create a Developer Account with live Lipa na Mpesa Express API enabled
  3. Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Mpesa Configurations > Tab
  4. Update credentials on the Mpesa Configurations section
  5. Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Payment Methods
  6. Create new payment method and select Mpesa Configuration created in the `Mpesa Configurations` step above
  7. Navigate to Dashboard > : > Setting > Payments on `Payment Methods` and your Mpesa Express payment method

Odoo 15 MPESA EXPRESS POS MODULE

This Module will allow you to handle cash collection via mpesa from your customers. It has been tested & works with Odoo 14.

Section 1.1 Installation

To install this module, you need to:

Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.

Section 1.2 Upgrade

To upgrade this module, you need to:

Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.

Section 1.3 Configuration

  1. Ensure that point_of_sale app is installed in your server.
  2. After installing this module navigate to your point of sale, click on
    Configuration > Mpesa Configurations > Create
  3. Fill in your mpesa sandbox/production credentials to test the module then
    click Save.
  4. Navigate to Cofiguration > Payment Methods > Create then fill in details & select
    your configuration name from drop-down as terminal identifier.
  5. Navigate to Configuration > Point of Sale > Edit then selct name of POS your using
    scroll to Payment then add your Mpesa Express Terminal as Defined by your given name.
  6. Save the changes the start your POS.

It does support Mpesa Push on your POS.
