Sumup Odoo Connector

for Android and iPadOS/iOS and Sumup Air/3G Terminal via Bluetooth

Easy integration

generate a Sumup affiliate key and app id in Sumup Developer settings and add those in POS Settings

set the Sumup payment option in POS Payments

and add fees if you like...

POS View

with CC and EC card payments integrated...

Payment details will be forwarded to Sumup mobile application... and Odoo will receive payment transaction details and put it everywhere it should be.

TSE Compliance

with Sumup CloudTSE

For TSE Compliance it's possible to use the Sumup app also for cash payments and register the payments via Sumup CloudTSE. Ask for details!

A demonstration server is waiting for you to test the SumUp integration.

Be sure you don't use your official SumUp account and ask SumUp support team for a development account first...! Otherwise you will be messing with real payments.

FAQ:

Which Sumup Terminal can I use?

Only Sumups Air terminal is currently supported. Other terminals unfortunately don't support the Sumup app. If you want to help the development of newer and better functionality, please contact Sumup support and ask for Sumup Solo API support via WiFi.

Which OS can I use?

Android and iOS/iPadOS are currently supported.

Which Browser/App can I use?

Safari (iOS) and Chrome (Android) work well. Other has been tested but didn't work well. Unfortunately the Odoo App is NOT supported, since there is no url handling for the app (yet). Be sure the browser you use on the POS device for Odoo is set as standard for opening links.

Hi Thomas,

Let's imagine I use Odoo POS + Sumup and I do several sales during a day. Will I be able to do an automated reconciliation in Odoo? How does it work, from an accounting point of view to ensure a good match between sales and payments? How about the Sumup fees?

Could you please explain how the Odoo clients work and what your module will do in the accounting part of the game? Will be appreciated.

Would appreciate demo access.

you can find the modules website in the description where you can also find the full contact details. But here is also fine.

V16 Upgrade is on its way. But will need some love still.

it will work with Sumup in the UK. There is no difference in the Sumup API there nor is there in Odoo ;).

Comments above state this software only works with sumup's Air terminal. The U.S. sumup website does not mention an "air" terminal but I have the Sumup Plus terminal which seems to be the US version of the Air terminal on the German site. Do you know if this software works with the plus terminal?

Hey Doug,

thanks for the request. The Plus is connecting via Bluetooth to the tablet/phone and is using the Sumup app. So that one will be working!

you can and must use the iPad which ist running odoo (in Safari, not the Odoo App!!).

Ich gehe davon aus, dass das Ganze auch mit einem Sumup 3G funktionieren sollte, sofern es per Bluetooth mit der App verbunden ist, oder liege ich da falsch?

ich habe das noch nicht probiert, aber wenn es über die App genutzt wird, sollte es klappen. Z.B. Barzahlungen über die App funktionieren auch ohne Probleme… (für TSE).

Hi there,

I am not sure about the licensing of demo instance and production instance in the App store. I would say yes, it's possible, but you should ask Odoo support about this!

This module only is for POS payments. No other (invoice,order,etc) payments possible.
