Improved Category import & Update
A module for improving the import and update of product categories
Default Odoo for datas import offers
powerful features, but is complicated to use especially when its come to update those datas.
Importing product categories with default Odoo is a complicated and time-consuming task,
this is why we developed 2 modules to help you to save time.
This module "Improved Category import & update" enable you to import categories with only 2 columns on sample file:
"Category Name" and "Parent Category Name", Optionally you can also add values on column "Category Reference ID".
The values of other columns usually needed to import categories with default Odoo e.g. property valuation, property cost method, parent category ID etc will be automatically created in system.
In case you don't want to insert the category reference ID on sample file, system will automatically provide a category reference ID for each category name that could be used as unique identifier to update the product categories. That category reference ID will be automatically created using a simple format based on category name (product.product_category_category name).
Our module offer you a simple and innovating approach without creating a new import wizard. We are just improving the default odoo import.

By Purchasing this module, we will provide you a sample file with column name of most important fields of this data model that are automatically mapped with Odoo. With this sample file, you should be able to quickly import datas without the help of an expert.

2. Created a new field Reference ID, If the field is available in the sample file then those value will be taken. Otherwise, it creates in a format "product.product_category_name"
3. Only need 2 columns in import sample file, the category name and Parent Category name. Reference ID is optional.
4. Regarding the field "property valuation" takes the value "Automated" for parent category and "Manual" for remaining child categories.
5. Regarding the field "property cost method" takes the value "Standard Price" for all categories.
