Advanced Product template & Category import & Update
A module for improving the import and update of product template and category
Default Odoo for datas import offers powerful features,
but is complicated to use especially when its come to update those datas.
Importing product categories with default Odoo is a complicated and time-consuming task,
this is why we developed 2 modules to help you to save time.
This module "Advanced product template import & update with category Import"
enable you to import categories directly from the import sample file of default Odoo product template from Sales app.
You only need to insert the categories on the sample file with following format :
Category 1 / Child category1 / Child Category2 / Child Category 3/------
So system will automatically recognise that the category 1 is the parent category of "Child category 1".
Child category 1 will be the parent category of "Child category 2".
Child category 2 will be the parent category of "Child category 3" etc. and automatically create those categories.
The values of other columns usually needed to import categories with default Odoo e.g. property valuation, property cost method, parent category ID etc. will also be automatically created in system.
System will automatically provide a category reference ID for each parent and child category that could be used to update the product categories.
Important is to know that this module does not enable updating categories from sales app.
In case you want to update categories, you can either use default Odoo features, or our module "Improved category import & update".

By Purchasing this module, we will provide you a sample file with column name of most important fields of this data model that are automatically mapped with Odoo. With this sample file, you should be able to quickly import datas without the help of an expert.

Able to create category while import product template, able to import product template and product category using a single file.
4. If the category reference ID is available in the import sample file then those value will be taken, otherwise the format of automatically created category reference ID will be "product.product_category_category Name".
5. While importing product template, the field "property valuation" for created categories will be automatically takes the value "Automated" for the first parent category and the "Manual" for remaining child categories.
6. While importing product template, the field "property cost method" for created categories will be automatically takes the value "Standard price".
