The POS screen streamlines inventory management by presenting stock quantities based on preferred types and
designated locations, ensuring accurate availability for seamless transactions. This feature enhances
customer satisfaction by optimizing the retail experience, while also preventing orders for out-of-stock
products, improving operational efficiency.

POS Stock Configuration
Enabling "Display Stock in POS" checkbox within the "Stock Configuration in POS" section of Point of Sale settings, will trigger the display of stock quantities for all products in POS screen.
Stock quantities will be showcased based on chosen stock type and source location, set within the "Stock Configuration in POS" for the stock type field and "Default source location" under the inventory operation type section, ensuring accurate inventory representation on the POS screen.
Please note that the "Default source location" field will only be visible when the "Storage location" feature is enabled within the inventory module settings screen.
Stock Type as "Qty On Hand"
When "Qty on Hand" is chosen as the stock type, the POS screen will exhibit the on-hand quantities available at the preferred location.
Stock Type as "Qty Available"
Similarly, selecting "Qty Available" will display the available quantities in stock for the preferred location, offering users precise insights into inventory levels during transactions.
Restrict Order in POS
Enabling the "Restrict Order in POS" checkbox prohibits users from placing orders for out-of-stock products in the POS system.
Attempting to do so trigger an error message stating "Can't place orders", ensuring streamlined inventory management and preventing errorneous transactions.
Even when the "Display stock in POS" checkbox is disabled, the system continues to restrict orders for out-of-stock products. In this instance, stock quantities are displayed based on the previously selected stock type, maintaining accurate inventory management despite the absence of stock visibility on the POS screen.
If the "Restrict Order in POS" checkbox remains disabled, users retain the ability to place orders for all products, regardless of stock availability. This setting allows for unrestricted ordering even when quantities are out of stock, offering flexibility in transaction processing.
