What it does

  • Modification of Units of Measure and their conversion factors could be dangerous and may harm your business. Tracking changes (who did it, what the old value was, etc.) should protect you.
  • Sometimes, communication on a Units of Measure is required. Mail thread is now available on Units of Measure.

Key Features

  • Create the Chatter area in the Units of Measure and UOM Categories form.
  • Log all changes made to the Units of Measure : who changed it, the old - new value was, when it was changed.
  • Allows users to communicate in the Chatter area: add follower, send message, attach files, etc.

Installation

  1. Navigate to Apps.
  2. Search with keyword to_uom_mail_thread.
  3. Press Install.

How to use

Instruction video: Track Changes in Units of Measure

Step 1: Activate the feature.

To activate this feature, you need to install one of the following apps:

  • Sales management app.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management.

Enter the Sales, or Inventory > Configuration > Settings, activate the Units of Measure (UoM) feature.

Step 2: Check the UoM changing history.

On the Inventory app, navigate to Configuration > UoM Categories, select a UoM category. In this view, you will see the chatter section appear and record the changing history of the units.
