Account Taxcloud Default Tax Account
Description
This module allows setting a default tax account for the taxes derived from TaxCloud in the "Invoices" and "Credit Notes".
Configuration
Go to the Accounting app and navigate to the Configuration menu. Select Settings. In the Taxes section, assign the appropriate accounts to the fields labelled TaxCloud Tax Account and TaxCloud Tax Account on Credit Note.
Functionality
In the Accounting app, go to the Customer menu and select Invoices. Create a new invoice, then navigate to the Other Info tab. In the Fiscal Position field, select Automatic Tax Mapping (TaxCloud) and click on the Internal link.
Enable the Detect Automatically and Use TaxCloud API booleans.
Return to the invoice and confirm it. The taxes computed by TaxCloud will now appear in the Taxes column of the invoice lines.
Under the Configuration menu, select the Taxes option. The derived tax will appear in the list.
Return to the invoice, and under the Journal Items tab, the account that was selected for the “Taxcloud Tax Account” field will appear by default.
Now, create a credit note for that order.
For credit notes, the account selected for the ”TaxCloud Tax Account on Credit Notes” field will appear by default under the Journal Items tab, just like it does for invoices.
