Overview

All in One Custom Dynamic Fields module helps with easy creation of custom fields in as per you need without any coding. This module helps to add new fields on the form view and tree view as per requirement.

Features

Creates custom fields in any modules without coding.
The position of the fields can be easily set.
Widgets can be selected for custom fields.
Can set the field properties (help,required,copied,read-only,indexed)

Create Custom Dynamic Fields

After installation, give the user access to 'Create Custom Dynamic Fields' from user settings.

Create Fields

Open the module and Click Create Button to create new custom fields and fill the details.Then click the Create Field.

Model

Select the model for which you want to create a custom field.

Field Type

Choose the field type

List / Tree View

The custom field also we can add to the module List/Tree view.

Sale Order Form View

A new custom field is created in the sale order form view.

View Field Info

We can view the details of the created field in ir.model.fields by clicking Field Info. and it is also possible to change the field label (string) from there.

Edit Field Info

By clicking Field Info, it is possible to change the field label (string) from there.

Sale Order Tree/List View

A new custom field is created in the sale order tree view.

Great for adding custom fields. So far I have added 2 fields to Project form and Project tree, but lacking functionality:

  • No ability to edit field name, and many other field properties after creation
  • Deleting a custom field (the only way to make certain changes is to delete and recreate the field - see first item) leaves all the orphaned columns and database entries, so a new field with identical name cannot be created.
  • Referencing the order of the field placement on the main form view allowed referencing before or after another custom field, but I could not reference the same custom field for order placement in the tree view (in my case, project form view and project tree view)
  • I was able to remove orphaned field data using AI to help search for required data to remove and to help create the sql queries, and then manually run the sql queries myself.  Most users will not be able to do this.

We’ve introduced an option that allows users to change the label (string) of a field after creating custom fields. This feature is now available on the Odoo App Store.

Regarding the other cases you mentioned, there are certain limitations due to Odoo’s default behaviour, which may restrict those changes.

Hi, this module has a bug and not working properly. I tried to add it in recruitment module but then it added only in the tree, not showing in the applicant form.

Please check you have properly added the field in form view. If the app is not working, Filed won't be there in tree view.
