Overview

This module allows users to fetch address from current/live GPS location via Google MAP integration. User can click on "Fetch Address" button at Lead/Opportunity level to open map view and set current/live GPS location and update it on customer address.

Compatible with PC & Mobile Browser Only. This will not work in mobile app as Odoo mobile app do not support to access live gps location.

Note: Odoo will fetch the address based on data available in Google MAP, It could be full address, latitude/longitude.

How is the gps of the customer fetched? .

What's the connection between Odoo and the customer.

Is the gps location fetched when they login to the shopping portal ?

Hello @arvane3,

Good Morning, GPS is fetched from the current location of the browser.

This module is more for the salesman who generates leads in Odoo and know GPS location of customer, so it becomes easy to fetch the address of customer directly through APIs, it has no connection with customer login.

We are in progress of developing a module which will populate the current address into e-commerce process where customer do not have to add address, they just open the map view, select the address and it gets populated automatically.
