Odoo 16 Report Print Extension (Enterprise)

Module allows to print report on printer direclty using node js.

How to use

• Important step to use this module, Install python and node js library which is required to print report using node js.
• Your server is running on cloud or local LANE and you are accessing odoo server on client computer system. So this packages you need to install on client system.
• Steps to install node JS package:
  ==> Node app is locate in 'node' folder into this module.
  1) Copy node application and put into safe folder in client machine. Now open terminal and go to that folder and copy paste below command.
  ==> sudo npm install express
  2) This python package which will be used only for LAN zebra printing Purpose.
  ==> sudo apt-get install cups
  or
  ==> sudo pip3 install pycups
  
• After Installing all packages, Check CUPS is working on client machine.
  
• CUPS default running on http://localhost:631 for client machine.

Node Js configuration

• Open node js folder in terminal on client machine.
• Run below command in terminal : 'node app.js'.

CUPS printer configuration

• First configure printer into CUPS for client machine.
• Follow the below steps to configure printer in CUPS.

Odoo PDF Report configuration

• Once CUPS and Node js application are running on client machine successfully.
• Odoo server is ready to configure different PDF reports.
• First need to configure printer name in odoo table. Open 'Settings-->Printer Configuration-->Printers' Menu. Add printer name which you added into CUPS.

• Once printer name is added into odoo. Need to configure PDF Reports.

• Once Report is configured. We are ready to print report in printer directly. Just on records select them and print.
