Ability to store documents in a custom folder structure:
- Main Folder [CRM]: store all documents in a single folder
- By Customer - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Customer]: Store all documents per customer in a single folder

By Opportunity - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Opportunity]: Store documents per opportunity

By Customer / Opportunity - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Customer & Sub folder under it for that specific Opportunity]: Store all documents per customer folder then an opportunity folder
- Allow user to add an attachment when logging a note from the documents app from the corresponding folder based on the previous option chosen above without the need to downloading and re-attaching the documents
- Automatic creation of folders, no need for manual creation of workspaces.
Configuration
- Go to Settings > Documents
-
Select the
CRM
flag in the documents app configurations. It is a new feature added in the module

Add attachments as Documents
will appear. Once selected it will allow the system to generate a document for each file attached to the CRM lead model under the documents app, automatically depending on a specific structure that the use can choose in the configurations:

Saving documents options:

Main Folder [CRM]:
This will save all the attachments for the CRM opportunities under the same folder (CRM), created automatically if not found.

By Customer - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Customer]:
Creates a new folder for every lead customer and saves the attachments under it as documents.

By Opportunity - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Opportunity]:
Creates a new folder for every CRM lead/opportunity and saves the attachments under it as documents.

Last Option: By Customer / Opportunity - [CRM / Sub Folder for each Customer & Sub folder under it for that specific Customer]

- The opposite feature is implemented under this addon where the user can add a document from the documents app in the CRM Opportunity, when sending a message or logging a note:

Selecting the
Add
button will issue a new window to select a document: -
Then On clicking
Attach
it will add the documents as attachments in the Email Composer wizard. - NOTE: the documents that can be selected in the wizard are only documents saved under the workspace corresponding to the CRM lead/customer according to the CRM workspace structure selected in the settings.
