BEONE Subscription Draft Invoices
With the latest update to Odoo 16, it is no longer possible to generate draft invoices through the option that was previously available in subscription models. Invoices linked to subscriptions are now automatically posted and sent. However, there are times when it is still necessary to create a draft invoice, for example, to ensure that everything has gone smoothly and then manually process and send the subscription invoice.
To address this issue, we have developed a custom module that allows you to once again generate draft invoices. Simply check the "Draft invoice" box in the configuration of the recurrence linked to the invoice.
The configuration of the recurrence model can be done in Subscriptions > Configuration > Recurrence Period.
Our module offers a simple and convenient solution to help you streamline your subscription billing process, saving you time and effort.
Download our module today and start creating draft invoices again!

Too bad Odoo took away the draft subscription invoice option...
Re: Worked without any issues
Indeed... I think they will bring back the functionality in some further official versions. Meanwhile we'll use this module.
Happy that it helped you.
Useable for Odoo 17
Hi,
we need this module for Odoo 17. When do you plan to release it for the new version?
Thank you for your advise.
Re: Useable for Odoo 17
Hello,
We'll test that in the few next days.
I hope release the v17 version for max the 2024-01-22. I keep you informed.
Odoo V16 prevents to create a second draft invoice out of a subscription. Is it possible with your module to have multiple draft invoices assigned to one subscription?
Example:
1. Create draft invoice for January and do not confirm it.
2. Create draft invoice for February.
=> Now you have two draft invoices assigned to the subscription.
Is this possible with your module do do that?
Re:
Hello,
Unfortunately not. It's only force the subscription to publish invoices in draft instead of posting/sending them.
It does not override the odoo check of existing draft invoice for subscription.
But if you need our company can study your case and develop another custom module for that. This will cost some hours of custom dev. I think, 300 or 400€.
Keep me inform i you want a quote about that.
