Chatter Secure Attachment

The Chatter Secure Attachment is an Odoo module that will help users to add attachments in the chatter privately. The attachment that is added securely will only be visible to the user themself and the system manager. The user can even add other secure users if the user wants.

Key Features

  • Users can add private add attachments that will be visible to particular users.
  • Users can decide whom to show attachments to and can add secure followers.
  • This module will maintain the privacy of the user.
Chatter Sercure Attachment: WorkFlow
  • Users would first have to click on the attachment icon in chatter. Then there will be a button to add secure attachments.
  • When a user uploads an attachment using the secure attachment button, it will only be visible to secure followers.
  • The user can see secure followers by a button beside the attachment icon in chatter.
  • The user who has created the particular record will only be able to add followers for the particular record.
  • A wizard will appear When the user clicks the Add Followers button. Select users, and click on Add Secure Followers button to add a secure follower to a particular record.
  • By default, the person who has created a particular record will already be added as a record-secure follower. Also, the system manager will be added as a secure follower.
Conclusion
This module will help in maintaining the privacy of users while adding attachments. If a user wants to communicate with the system manager only or some other few people and doesn't want to share with other followers of record then this is the perfect communication method.
