Hide View Chatter

The model allows you to control the visibility of the chatter in Odoo. You can hide or show the chatter for specific users or based on different models. Additionally, you can select multiple models for a user group and activate or deactivate the group to manage chatter visibility as needed.

HOW TO USE

First, grant the appropriate user permission to configure hide chatter related configuration.

Create a configuration using the Chatter Configuration menu.

Add the name and user details to specify who can perform the configuration when the user logs in.
Add a table and assign the necessary permissions.

  • Hide Chatter: Hides the entire chatter interface.
  • Hide Send Message: Hides the "Send Message" button from the chatter.
  • Hide Log Note: Hides the "Log Note" button from the chatter.
  • Hide Activity: Hides the "Activity" button from the chatter.

View the sale order details where the chatter visibility is configured based on the user's settings.

On the Purchase Order, the "Send Message" and "Log Note" buttons will be hidden for the user.

There are no changes on other tables.

With the configured model, it will not affect different users.
