Sequence Management for Financial Years
Automatically update sequence numbers and prefixes for each financial year in Odoo, ensuring accurate and hassle-free document numbering.
About the Module
This module automatically enables the date range option during the financial year transition period (March and April) and generates multiple financial years with predefined configurations.
It also supports dynamic and customizable prefix formats, allowing businesses to define sequences like INV/25-26/0001 or INV/2025-2026/0001 based on their requirements.
How It Works
Automatic Date Range Activation
The module automatically enables Date Range during March and April (financial year transition).
Auto Creation of 25 Financial Years
Automatically generates 25 financial years from selected date range (From Date → To Date).
Each year includes:
✔ From & To Date
✔ Sequence ready
✔ Prefix generated
Dynamic Prefix Generation
Sequence prefixes are automatically generated:
INV/2025-26/0001
INV/2026-27/0001
Custom Prefix Support
You can define custom formats like 25-26 or 2025-2026.
A Prefix field is available in date range lines and automatically applied.
Example:
25-26 → INV/25-26/0001
2025-2026 → INV/2025-2026/0001
