Integrating Okta with Odoo for Single Sign-On (SSO) simplifies user authentication by allowing employees to log in to Odoo using their Okta credentials. By leveraging OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, Okta securely authenticates users and grants them access to Odoo without requiring separate credentials. The integration supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for added security and allows centralized control over user permissions.
Once configured, users attempting to log in to Odoo are redirected to Okta for authentication. Upon successful verification, they are granted access to Odoo without needing to enter additional login details. This setup improves compliance, reduces password-related issues, and enhances overall security by ensuring that access is managed through Okta’s robust authentication system.

- Navigate to developer.okta.com.
- Create a web application to generate a Client ID and Client Secret, which must be entered in Odoo. Additionally, provide a Redirect URL.
- That's all you need to set up for instant Odoo login!
- Please note that if your Okta account has Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), it will be supported natively in Odoo.
- Ensure that you set all the required values in the Okta configuration.
- Clicking the "Login with Okta" button will allow you to log in directly.
- When logging in, if the user does not exist, a new user will be created using Okta account information. If the user already exists, they will log in with the same account.
