Elearning Explore and Learn - Begin with trial access
Welcome to our custom E-Learning app for Odoo, introducing an exciting new feature:
Course trial access functionality.
Our trial functionality allows students to access all the courses for a specified trial period as set in the
settings.
During this trial period, students can explore courses without paying for that. After the trial ends, student can't access the course,
and he can choose to purchase the courses to continue learning. This trial spans from the student's
platform enrollment date to the designated trial period:
- Provide access to all courses during the trial period
- Specify the trial period in days
- Automatically remove students from courses after the trial period ends
Step 1: Configure Trial Period
It's as easy as a few clicks to get started with the trial functionality:
- Go to Settings > eLearning.
- Click on Configure under "Trial Period (in days)".
- Specify the desired trial period in days. For example, set it to 45 days for an extended trial experience. (Note: If the trial period is set to zero, the trial feature will be deactivated.)

Step 2: User Interface
An intuitive user interface makes it seamless for the students to explore and experience the magic of the trial:
- On joining the platform, students can easily choose between Start Trial or Add to Cart.
- By selecting the Start Trial option, they get instant access to all courses during the specified trial period.
- If they prefer a direct purchase, they can click on Add to Cart

Step 3: After the trial period ends
To ensure a seamless experience for your users, we automatically handle course removal after the trial period ends:
After the completion of the trial period, students will be gracefully removed from the course. This ensures that only subscribed users continue to have access to the courses they have purchased.
